Flex Air Flight Training Payment Options

 Pilot Pathway Loan

🛫 Fly now pay later

Subject to approval by your student loan provider. Flex Air is in the Stratus Financial  student loan network. If approved, you'll pay an initial deposit now and then make no payments while you're in training, for up to a year.

Then, depending on the type of loan you are approved for, you'll make reduced payments of $150 - $200 per month for an additional year.

If approved for a deferred payment option, you will make full payments starting one year after you've completed training. If you're following Flex Air's recommended training plan, this is when you'll be eligible for employment as an Air Transport Pilot (ATP), with salaries as high as $95,000 per year. Stratus Financial is available at all Flex Air locations.

Wings Credit Union, an aviation-friendly non-profit, also offers personal loans for bank members in any state. Joining is free for aviation industry affiliated members, or you can make a $5 donation.

Level Pay 

🎯 $1,000 per week

Best for Full-Time Students. You can stop at any time. No credit check required.

Level Pay levels out the costs of flight training so you can "set it and forget it". Your overall training costs remain the same, you'll just make a fixed payment each week on Friday. We don't charge any interest or financing fees, and no credit check is required.

If you fly less, you'll retain the extra you've paid as a credit on your account for future training. If you fly more, no problem, you'll only pay a fixed amount that week.

If you withdraw from training and still owe us money, your Level Pay program stops and your remaining account balance is due in full. If you have unused credit on your account, your unused credits are fully refunded.

If you miss a payment you may be assessed a late fee, but you'll stay on the flight schedule.

Level Pay will support a maximum of $20,000 in training costs. If you need more, contact your recruiter or mentor.

Pay As You Go

📈 $3,500 or more per week

Best for Part-Time Students. Payments are highly variable and you could see charges as high as $3,500 or more each week.

Pay for your training in full immediately. You'll be responsible for the full cost of every ground, flight, and simulator lesson on the same day that you conduct your training. We'll bill you weekly.

We require an initial $500 non-refundable deposit to kick off your Pay As You Go program. This deposit is a pre-payment and is creditable for enrollment fees and flight training at Flex Air.

Payments happen on Fridays. If you miss a payment, you're immediately charged a $25 late fee. We will request a $1,000 Return to Flight deposit to forgive the late fee. If your haven't paid by Monday 10am CT, you may be removed from the flight schedule and all future training.
